28/11/07 St. John's beaten in final by 'Dall
St. John's Senior Reserve hurlers were defeated in the Championship final at Casement Park under the floodlights on Friday evening. At halftime, against a strong breeze, St. Johns trailed by only one point however a strong showing from Cushendall in the final quarter of the second half put paid to any title hopes of St. John's. It ended what was a fine run for the Reserve Hurlers.

18/10/07 Conor McCaffrey Hurler of the Year
It came as absolutely no surprise to everyone in St. John's, and the wider Antrim hurling fraternity, when 'Wee Frank' was honoured for his hurling prowess this year at the County Antrim Awards evening in Ballymena on 18th October 2007. Conor was crowned Senior Reserve Hurler of the Year 2007!
When asked about the award Conor was magnanimous: "I've been putting it in this year, both on and off the pitch, and this award is the icing on the cake. However, I'd still like to dedicate this award to my team mates".
