On Saturday night last, St. John's G.A.C. held its Annual Presentation Dinner in the Balmoral Hotel. The guest officials joining St. John's members to celebrate the previous year's achievements were Ulster G.A.A. President John O' Reilly, Ulster G.A.A. Council Chairman Danny Murphy and a number of County and South Antrim representatives.

There were four presentations for St. John's senior teams on the night, following their successes in the All-County Division 3 Football League, the Junior Camogie Championship, aswell as the South Antrim Hurling Championship and League respectively.

Club Vice-President, Tommy Hoey had the honour of presenting the St. John's Minor of the Year Award to Eamon Grieve. Tommy remarked that he was delighted that Eamon was receiving the award and he spoke of Eamon's great commitment to St. Johns. Eamon has represented St. John's since underage level, he captained the club's minor hurling team last year, represented the club as a referee at juvenile level and is also involved with underage coaching. In addition Eamon has recently completed his foundation level football-coaching course. The club committee and members would like to congratulate both Eamon and Gareth on their success to date.

Another presentation made on the night, was to Gearoid Robinson, recognising his appointment as Antrim senior hurling championship referee in 2001. St. John's club Chairman, Tony Mc Nulty made the presentation to Gearoid and wished him well for the future.

In his address John O' Reilly congratulated the club members on their success to date, both on and off the field. The Ulster President spoke of the challenges that the club faced in the years ahead and praised the club members on the Poleglass development. John O' Reilly's address was followed by an address by County Secretary, Eamon Mc Mahon and Club Chairman, Tony Mc Nulty.

All the members and guests enjoyed the night's entertainment, which included an Irish Dancing exhibition by the Reid School of Dancing.
