Senior hurling captain "man of
the match"
The captain of this year's St. John's senior hurling team, Brian McFall,
won the man of the match award recently in a National Hurling League game
for Antrim.

The club captain(pictured left receiving his man
of the match award from Kevin McGuinness at Casement Park) has been representing
the club at county level for a number of years now, however he gave arguably
one of his best displays at inter-county level to date and this was certainly
recognised by many on the day when he received the Man of the Match Award.
With the first game in the county hurling league just 2 weeks away, its
a promising start for the new club captain and it will be hoped that this
good form continues on at club level.
Loughuile are the first opposition the club's hurlers will face this
year and, after nearly winning the league last year, will certainly provide
them with a tough match.
