25/04/03 'Active Living' at St. John’s

St. John’s juvenile committee have just recently completed yet another junior club development programme, demonstrating their drive and commitment to develop all positive and healthy aspects of sports for players and coaches.

The ‘Active Living’ programme requires successful completion of a variety of courses including; Health related Issues: Equity Training: Child Protection: First Aid.

A number of juveniles showed their dedication and played their part by participating, and successfully completing, training courses. Conall Maskey became qualified in First Aid and Robbie McConnell in Health Related Issues. Well-done boys!

The presentation of the award was made in The Fostering Centre, Glendinning House, on the 19th March.

The photograph shows Juvenile chairman Frank Maskey and juvenile player Conall Maskey being presented with a cheque and a First Aid bag respectively. The presentations were made by Peter Shaw (Community Sports Development Manager) and Trish Shaw-Hodgett (for the North and West Belfast Area Health Promotion Consortium).
