25/04/03 'Active Living' at St. Johns
St. Johns juvenile committee have just recently
completed yet another junior club development programme, demonstrating
their drive and commitment to develop all positive and healthy aspects
of sports for players and coaches.
The Active Living programme requires successful
completion of a variety of courses including; Health related Issues: Equity
Training: Child Protection: First Aid.
A number of juveniles showed their dedication and played
their part by participating, and successfully completing, training courses.
Conall Maskey became qualified in First Aid and Robbie McConnell in Health
Related Issues. Well-done boys!
The presentation of the award was made in The Fostering
Centre, Glendinning House, on the 19th March.

The photograph shows Juvenile chairman Frank Maskey and
juvenile player Conall Maskey being presented with a cheque and a First
Aid bag respectively. The presentations were made by Peter Shaw (Community
Sports Development Manager) and Trish Shaw-Hodgett (for the North and
West Belfast Area Health Promotion Consortium).
