St.Johns U-15 hurlers played an entertaining challenge game against a physically strong Glenariffe side in Waterfoot.

Glenariffe started briskly and built up a strong 11 point lead at the interval before a passionate fightback with 3 goals in the first 10 minutes of the second half. However they were unable to maintain their onslaught and ran out of steam during the last 5 minutes when Glenariffe scored a goal and a point to steal it.

Brian Holmes had a good game at centre field with his 60 metre solo run goal the score of the game. He was ably assisted by Eoghan Caldwell at centre half back and Peter McGarrity at centre field. James Darragh shone at full forward and full back Colm McCrudden dominated this sector with some 80 to 90 metre clearances.
