27/08/03 St. John's sent back down the 'Rock in
Senior Hurling League
Too disgusted to write a match report for this match...
Needless to say St. John's hurlers gave as disappointing
a display as they have done all season, against a team who were 13 points
the poorer at the start of the season. Whilst there were a large number
missing from the St. John's starting 15 there is no doubt that the better
team won on the night - Gortnamona fully deserved their win.
The match ended 0-14 0-11.
| The semi-final match of last year and the
good team performances of the start of the season seem but a distant
memory now - and from the looks of what was on show tonight there
will need to be a touch of the miraculous for the hurlers to win against
Ballycastle in the coming weeks. |
