14/11/03 Brian McFall - Ulster Hurler of the Year
2003
|
The Ulster GAA Writers have picked Brian
McFall as the Ulster Hurler of the Year for 2003.
After his tally of 2-8 in the Ulster final
and his overall championship record of 5-25 (narrowly missing out
on the top scorer accolade to Joe Deane of Cork by a single point)
it may not come as much of a surprise to his club team-mates but
it is still an immense honour for Brian, his family and the club.

After a lowkey year
for the senior and minor hurling teams this award will come as a welcome
boost for hurling within the club.
Stephen McDonnell won the football award while
Tyrone's All-Ireland winning manager Mickey Harte won Personality of the
Year.
