08/03/04 'On the way home the moon looked like a Jaffa Cake.'
(The views of the Under 16's on the Laois trip)

St. John's very own 'Legend of Clonlara' Ciaran McKissock asks the team what they thought of their Laois Tour. ( Please note that the views and opinions whilst that of the players may not be that of the Association.)

St. John's Under 16 tour members

Peter: "The whole occasion was good. It was a bit far away to go for the weekend, but once we got to the place we soon realised that a weekend was more than enough time to spend in that place. p.s. Some people are scared of the dark and run away from the ball when it is hit at them."

Ciaran: "It was sweet except for the fights, the cinema, Supermacs, the place we were staying in, the goals that went past me, the £40 to go, Mass, and the bus is crap and we missed the Celtic match and I can't believe people still run away from the ball. We couldn't get Barry away from Catherine. Barry said 'I'm in love', and he wasn't messing about. Pat and Nicole were a loveable pair even though they only kissed for 0.2 seconds but I wouldn't kiss her more than a second with the bake on her. p.s. The trip was brilliant and on the way home the Moon looked like a Jaffa Cake."

Decky: "I'm just glad to say I was the only one to score a point today. p.s. I hated my bed being turned upside down."

Eoghan: "The trip was class. The place we stayed in was good. The matches were amazing. Church was the best part of the whole trip, but people kept flipping my bed upside down."

Marty: "Tommy's bed was sweet. The cards were amazing. I got two waves on the bus and I loved the cricket matches."

Tommy: "Thanks very much. It was swaz, but Marty stole my bed. The hurling was good and so was the Cinema, the organisation was also good but we should have got a fry. Bowling was even better."

Aodh: "It think it was swaz. The hurling was good, the organisation was good but I didn't like waking up with big Bill beside me in bed."

Packy: "It was swaz. The Hurling was amazing but the number 14 was too fast and good. But the place we were staying in was powerful."

Aidzo: "Awhhhhhhhh, my hand!"

Baz: "It was nice but for £40 quid it was a bit cheap. St. Johns need a new bus. The Hurling was class and the seniors smell."

Flan: "It was class. When's the next one?"

Ga Ga: "Are we there yet?"
Sean: "Brilliant!"

Brendan: "I agreed to go on this trip provided it increased my hurling capability. So I'll wait and see. It was class."
