13/03/04 Senior Hurling Management name the captain and vice-captain for 2004

During Saturday's training session the senior hurling management finally announced their decision as to who would be the hurling club's captain and vice-captain for the coming season.

Stephen 'Chesney' Thompson (left) was named senior hurling captain, whilst Conor 'Gatlin' Gannon (right) was named vice-captain for the year.

As well as being the best looking captain and vice captain duo for many's a year and possessing plenty of hurling ability the two long serving senior players bring extra talents to the team - Stephen has an expert knowledge of sports retail and hair/grooming products whilst Conor knows his way around a courtroom and can sing every line of American Pie.

But in all seriousness... good luck to the pair of them and to the Hurling Team this year.
