01/07/04 Johnnies Under 15's enjoy victory against St. Malachy's

St. Johns U-15 Hurlers travelled to Portadown on Thursday night to play St. Malachys in an entertaining challenge game. The recent torrential rain fortunately stayed off as the lads enjoyed their encounter with the robust Malachians.

Although we ran out comfortable winners in the end St. Malachy's ability to score goals ensured that the result was always in the fire. James Darragh, Anthony Moore and Aodhan Mulholland had a good hour as did dominant midfielders Eoghan Caldwell and Brendan McGibbon. Up front Michael Flannery and Sean Lawell looked sharp with Lawell's 20 yard first time pull to the roof of the net the score of the game.
