26/02/05 St. John's U16 Trip to
Cashel
St. Johns U-16 Hurlers travelled to Kilkenny and Tipperary
at the weekend and enjoyed two entertaining preseason
challenge games in Leinster and Munster.
The Saturday game in Kilkenny was a close entertaining
affair with some great hurling from both teams. Sundays
game started well for St. Johns but tiredness saw them
slowly fade and Moycarkey Borris romp home in the second
half.
The team stayed overnight in Cashel and enjoyed the delights
of a scenic walk up to the Rock of Cashel as well as dodgey
pizzas and kebabs.
The Best Behaved trophy went to Tomas Shannon
(after a team vote) and the quiz winners were Aodhan Mulholland
and that man Shannon again.(Clever and well behaved
.his
mum must be proud!)
