01/01/05 ‘All hands on deck’ for Semi-Final replay

St. Johns Minor Hurlers face Cuchullains of Armagh this Saturday in the Ulster Minor Hurling Championship replay. With the first semi-final going to extra time we ask St. Johns Minor manager Joe McCailin for his thoughts for Saturday.

‘ Basically we played a very good hurling outfit last week, they were physically strong in all departments and have some excellent hurlers all over the field.’

‘We will have to be on our toes through out the game and we will undoubtedly show them the respect they deserve.’

‘We’re under no illusions for Saturday.’ ‘We’re going to need all hands on deck for this one.’

St. Johns Minors trained on Wednesday night under floodlights at Lamh Dhearg CLG (many thanks) with a 100% turn out with everyone fully fit and raring to go.

Ciaran McCurdy and Barry McFall trained with their new head gear – Santa Claus hats with flashing lights. Just make sure you don’t think you’re Father Christmas lads and give away a few presents on Saturday!

Ulster Minor Hurling Semi-Final.

1:30pm Dean McGlinchey Park, Baile na Scrine.
