The Club Coaching Officer has asked for members from Camogie, Hurling and football who have an interest in how we develop our coaching strategy into the future to form a sub-committee. This group will meet throughout the year and help to shape how we up skill our coaches and develop strategies to pass these skills onto our teams. Hurling Goalkeeping Clinic - Mid Ulster Sports Arena, Cookstown
This course will be delivered by Grahame Clarke ( current Ballygalget & Down goalkeeper) and Shane Elliott ( former Dunloy & Antrim goalkeeper). An excellent course that will benefit coaches and goalkeepers. The course will focus on specific training programmes for goalkeepers. Gone are the days when goalkeepers train with the rest of the team. Modern training techniques are now necessary to develop reaction speeds and quick thinking when delivering the sliothar to team mates both during normal play and when taking puck outs.
